The patentability of computer-related subject matter continues to evolve rapidly. This presentation will cover the eligibility and scope of protection available to APIs (application programming interfaces or function calls). We will also consider the recent U.S. Supreme Court argument in Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank International, which considers the patentabilty of business methods, which is widely hoped to clarify Bilsi v. Kappos.
