Singh, Cameron Weir and Christina Kwok, leading practitioners from the litigation, prosecution and in-house sectors.
Amrita V. Singh is a senior litigation associate at Bereskin & Parr LLP, with a focus on trademark, patent and copyright litigation. She is the Vice-Chair of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada's (IPIC) Litigation committee, and is on IPIC’s Women in IP and Young Practitioners committees. She is also on the Federal Court Users Committee, and is an elected member of the CBA IP section executive, the OBA Council, and the OBA IT&IP and Women Lawyers Forum section executives. Amrita is involved in many diversity and inclusion initiatives, including mentoring students and junior lawyers at her firm, and through the OBA, OJEN, IPIC, and the McGill Law Women of Colour Collective.
Cameron Weir is Senior Counsel, Canada at RB. He leads the legal function of RB Canada's Hygiene division and sits on the Canadian management team. He has responsibility for all Canadian legal matters and dual hats in a compliance role. Cameron previously practised at Smart & Biggar, where his practice covered litigation with a focus on patent, trademark and copyright disputes. As a complement to his IP litigation practice, he also assisted clients on a wide variety of related matters including drafting and negotiating license agreements, advising on marketing law issues, and providing freedom to operate and validity opinions.
Christina Kwok is an associate at Oyen Wiggs Green & Mutala LLP. Christina assists clients with all aspects of identifying, protecting and benefiting from their intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright and domain names. Such matters include trademark and patentability searching and evaluations, preparing, filing and prosecuting trademark and patent applications, and advising on enforcement, infringement, licensing and technology transfer matters. She also advises on intellectual property dispute and litigation matters. Christina works with a wide array of clients, ranging in size (from start-ups to more established companies and universities) and industry (including the life sciences, chemical and mechanical technologies).
