What is the Toronto Intellectual Property Group? The Toronto Intellectual Property Group (TIPG) is a non-profit organization comprised of lawyers, patent agents, trade mark agents, students and trainees in the Greater Toronto Area with an interest in intellectual property law and related litigation. Its objective is to provide its members with topical education forums and social events throughout the year. |
The TIPG holds approximately eight to ten events per year. The TIPG invites speakers from across Canada and abroad to talk on current developments on intellectual property law and practice as well as other topics of interest to its members. Talks are typically hosted in downtown Toronto over lunch or dinner, which also provides members the opportunity to get to know their colleagues in an informal setting. Social events for TIPG members include an annual summer golf tournament and after-hours hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
