Origin and History of Patent Law

October 24 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Event Navigation

Please join the TIPG as we welcome Ken Bousfield for our first dinner event of this membership year.

All of the major doctrines of patent law were well established before Confederation. Ken will provide us with an entertaining and informative look at the origins of patent principles, and the historical evolution of patent law.

Ken Bousfield is a partner at Bereskin & Parr, LLP, where his practice is focused on mechanical and electro-mechanical patents. He has a B.A.Sc. (Mech. Eng., Waterloo) and an LL.B (Toronto). He has practiced law for 22 years, and frequently presents on the origins and development of patent law for universities, professional associations and government bodies.

Please RSVP by Friday, October 20, 2017 by clicking on this link.  Participants will be invoiced for cancellations made within 72 hours of the meeting.

If you prefer to pay by cheque, please RSVP to tipg@simip.com. All cheques should be made to the Toronto Intellectual Property Group. CA$90 (Members) and CA$130 (Non-Members).
